I wanted to explore Rare Beauty brand, so before buying anything I went through reviews and this was one of the frequently mentioned products as worthy of purchase. It's a tinted lip oil that leaves a stain and sadly this was a miss for me. It's the same as Essence's Tinted Kiss lip gloss (which might be discontinued, not that you missed much) and it's not worth the splurge.

Formula is nothing like a lip oil and I've tried a few. It's a thin, liquid formula that doesn't really feel like it will stick on the lips like a gloss. It feels more like a liquid blush and or a basic lip stain. It doesn't stay glossy long on the lips and it dries, leaving behind a stain. I've never been a fan of stain on my lips, as the always tint the inner central parts dark and look uneven. Since this formula isn't hydrating, the tint catches on dry patches. The lips don't feel nourished after it dries and they look chapped.

For me the formula is simply too thin and I prefer the comfortable formulas of Catrice's, Essence's, Milani's and A'Pieu's lip oils.
