Natasha Denona Glam Mini Palette
četrtek, februar 12, 2026Natasha Denona's eyeshadows have been one of the most talked about in the recent years, with many reviewers claiming these are the best. I've been curious about them for a long time, but the high price put me off, plus the only colour combination that looked wearable for me, Glam, was out of stock often. The range has since changed and new combinations were included. I'm not going to rave about these, not because they are bad, far from it, but because I find there are comparable eyeshadows that are cheaper.
These are definitely very good eyeshadows, high quality. However, to me they don't stand out among some cheaper ones, such as Colourpop, Artdeco and Milani, as well as high end ones (Urban Decay, Too Faced, theBalm). They certainly don't have an immediate fully opaque colour payoff like I've seen at the discontinued L.O.V. Magnetic eyeshadows, which based on reviews I kind of expected the have. I'm not saying it's a bad palette at all, but it's so hyped up and my expectations were really high and turned out they do the same as the cheaper (fantastic) formulas. I did a video on IG/TT, showing how Colourpop's eyeshadows are equal performers. I compared it with Colourpop's side by side, so one on each eye and performance was very similar. Coloupop's matte eyeshadows are actually creamier, but both blend well. Natasha Denona's eyeshadows are all well pigmented, they blend easily and last all day on my non-oily eyelids - maybe that's the reason why I don't find these anything special, the fact eyeshadows very rarely crease on me because I have no oil during the day. It's possible those that have problems like that find these more impressive.
I find the colours in the pan very deceptive based on the result I get on the eyelids and the official swatches look different to mine. I expected old gold shades, something like Patina from Mac and Artdeco's eyeshadow 245, but though they look like that in the pan, on my skin the whole look ends up warmer and with the first bronze shade as well as the lightest gold shade look completely coppery on me - something that happens with gold shades in general on my skin tone, but apart from the lightest shimmery shade I didn't think it will look this warm. For reference on my look I used the central colour on the eyelids as it's the only I actually like and I think works on me, while with the bronze as the focus shade, the whole look looks orange-y. In terms of versatility of looks, you're going to have to look someplace else, as I always do the same look with it, but the way I do my makeup this has three lid shades, one transition and one for the outer corners. I'm sure others are way more creative with it.
I don't have dupes for the shades, but overall the Colourpop Going Coconuts is reasonably similar, especially since Glam ends up warmer on me. Quality of eyeshadows is very similar, with Going Coconut's shades matte shades being creamier. Both have fall down during application and like at all shimmery eyeshadows (and highlighters), the shimmers ends up all over the cheeks at the end of the day.
