Around Valentine's day cheapsmells.com had a special offer on four chosen fragrances and Katy Perry's Purr was 50% off (just the 50ml version). Since it was on my wishlist for months, I couldn't not resist and I finally purchased it (it was 19.99 GBP that's about 23.6€). The bottle is just adorable, a purple cat-shaped bottle with a heart-shaped charm that says purr. I feel a bit odd when I take it's ''head'' off to spray the fragrance, like I'm decapitating the poor thing, but that's just me being weird. It really is a unique and pretty bottle and I love seeing it on my vanity.

Now for the actual fragrance. Top notes include peach, forbidden apple, gardenia and green bamboo; heart is composed of jasmine, pink freesia, and Bulgarian rose; and the base notes are vanilla, creamy sandalwood, white amber, coconut and musk. 

On me this is a very fresh but still a sweet fragrance, it's definitely a more spring/summer type of scent. Initially I get a lot of peach and apple notes, then is becomes less fruity and more fresh with bamboo and some flowery notes. I don't smell any vanilla or coconut as most other reviews say they do. Actually, this is one of the rare fragrances my mother likes and she usually doesn't care for my fruity, sweet perfumes. Lasting power is poor, I get a couple of hours of wear which is sad considering it was supposed to be a eau de Parfum.  

Yves Rocher recently launched a Slovene web site and they also have a shop somewhere in BTC in Ljubljana. I never owned anything from YR before, but I was on a search for a nice coconut fragrance, something that would smell like Rafaelo candy with some vanilla. According to reviews on Fragrantica, YR Noix de Coco was the closest to what I was looking for, plus it was super cheap. I ordered it online, the 100ml bottle was around 9€, so basically a bargain. However, it is not exactly what I was looking for. It just smells a bit plasticy in the first couple of minutes and I miss some more sweetness and warmth in the notes. I will probably purchase some vanilla fragrance (either from YR or The Body Shop) to mix it with the Noix de Coco. Staying power is excellent for a eau de toilette and for the price, it lasts for a least a half of day. Currently, I'm mixing it with BS Fantasy or Katy Perry Purr and both are a lovely combination, but I have my mind set on a particular scent I want and I think mixing it with some vanilla fragrance might just do it. 

To accompany the eau de toilette, I also purchased the Noix de Coco Malaysian Coconut silky cream. It's a good body cream in terms of consistency. It really feels silky, I'd say it's similar to the L'Occitane's Almond Milk Concentrate, but the scent is a disappointment for me. I don't smell anything coconuty. If you ever owned Sympathy for the skin by Lush, the scent is identical. It's very mild, sort of a milky vanilla scent, in my books a very boring scent. It's a light moisturiser, more appropriate for the warmer months. The packaging looks nice, but it's so impractical, especially when your hands are greasy. I got it for around 7€, but it had a discount so I'm not sure about the regular price. It's a nice product, I just expected it to smell more coconuty.

This is going to be one of those post where I just write a slew of mini reviews of products. Firstly, two showers gels I recently purchased, Fenjal Intensive Creme Duche and the second one is one of Balea's (Cocos and Tiareblüten). I bought the Fenjal one because of the packaging. I absolutely adore the colour and I just wanted something in that colour in my bathroom. The product itself is actually a pretty good shower gel. It has a bit thicker formula, which I prefer in shower gels, is very gentle and doesn't dry out the skin. The scent is very mainstream soap type, it's the same type of scent as Dove soaps. The second shower gel, Balea's Cocos and Tiareblüten, has a great coconut scent, very authentic and lovely. The formula is a bit thin as with all Balea shower gels.  

Greenland body butter in Mango is one of my favourite body moisturisers. The scent is so amazing, it's a sweet tropical-fruity scent, I don't know if it's authentic mango scent though. The pot is very small for the price (100g for about 8€), but it's quite an intensive moisturiser. 

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration line is my new drugstore discovery. The shampoo is very moisturising and is just brilliant for those who have really dry hair like me. The mask is also very moisturising and all in all very good especially for the price (both products are in the 2-3€ range). But the best part is the scent. It's a very tropical, coconut + fruit + candy scent that lasts on the hair for a really long time. Highly recommended.

I already wrote about Weleda lavender oil in one of my favourites post. After owning a small sample bottle, I purchased a full size product which is a 100ml bottle for about 9€. I love the scent of lavender and this has a really authentic lavender scent. It also absorbs quickly for an oil.

I've had the Soap&Glory Heel Genious foot cream for a while now and it's ok. Nothing particularly special, in fact I wish it was more moisturising. It's a light blue colour cream/gel with a very fresh-floral scent. Won't repurchase. I have my eye on the Burt's Bees Coconut cream next.

After my Balea serum fiasco, which really dried out my skin (as did Neutrogena grapefruit cleanser, horrible stuff), I purchase Cicaplast by La Roche-Posay, which is supposedly good for dry patches. I like it a lot. It has a gel consistency but it quite thick. It's not the easiest thing to apply, but it dries to a mat finish, it feels like a primer and is good for under the makeup (Lisa Eldridge used it as a primer in one of her videos). It doesn't have any scent. As far as the effects go I can't say much as I only been using it for the last couple of days, but the dry patches are almost gone (forehead is fixed, but the tops of my cheekbones are still dry). It was about 11€ (40ml) in the local pharmacy.

I know this post is super late, but I've seen on the Slovene Lush website that Rocket Me To is 50% off so I'll review it anyway. Now it retails for 7,75 €, originally it was 15 something. You get three bath bombs: Rocketeer (Christmas LE), Space Girl (regular line) and Ickle Baby Bot (regular line). 

The box it comes with is just so cute. Who doesn't like rockets and the whole space theme? I keep mine on a shelf as a decoration. The box has a different colour and type of rocket on each side (three btw).  

Rocketeer was a part of the Christmas line and is described as a candy stick scented bath ballistic. Out of the three this one had the most impressive ''visual effects'', it also melted the slowest. Mostly it turned the water blue, but it had more of a yellow-gold colours shooting from its ''engines''. The scent was as described, very candy like and sweet, but nothing special. 

I bought Golden Wonder separately and it was also a part of their Christmas line. I had it as decoration in my bedroom and out of the four this one had the strongest scent. The whole time I thought it smells very familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it what it was. Well, it was a fruity scent. It had coloured little balls inside so when it melted you got a whole rainbow of colours. 

I needed a heavier concealer that I could use to conceal spots and undereye circles and it just happened that  feelunique.com had a sale at the beginning of the year. Initially I had my mind set on a Mac concealer but I decided to give the Time Balm a shot. The first problem I encountered was what shade should I choose. I wasn't sure whether to pick light or lighter than light, as some reviewers described the latter as almost white, but despite that I still choose lighter that light. Well, it's not almost white (I have no idea where the that reviewer got this idea), it's probably most comparable in Mac shades with the NW15, however, since I don't own any Mac concealers or foundations I will compare it to the Bourjois Healthy Mix range. The lighter shades in Healthy Mix run more yellow, while Time Balm in Lighter that Light has a much more pink undertones. Given that this is originally an undereye concealer I consider that a good thing, since pink undertones brighten the area. My skintone is very neutral so this shade works just fine for me.

Now to the packaging. It's a clear plastic jar which feels a bit cheap and you also get a small sponge applicator that I don't use. You get 75g of product for about 15,50 GBP (about 18,50€ or 18$ at Sephora).

The texture is very thick, but not that hard to blend. I prefer to apply it with fingers because it just blends better with the skin. Unfortunately, this concealer does not work well on dry skin. It clings to every dry patch so make sure you moisture beforehand. The coverage is full, works well on dark circles and blemishes, but really make sure the area is moisturised. It feels quite thick under the eyes, so I prefer to use my Essence Stay All Day concealer (a great concealer actually, nice coverage, blends nicely, a nice product for the price, review here.) and I use this one on blemishes. Right now my skin is completely dried out (seriously, like a Sahara, just horrible) so it's not my first choice when it comes to concealers, but I suppose it's time will come in the warmer months. 

It's a nice concealer, I especially like the full coverage part, however, it is quite dry and you can't skip the moisturiser with this one. Also it is quite expensive, but all in all it's still a good concealer.
