Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Primer, Concealer & Foundation
sobota, november 09, 2024I already have a review for this formula, but has been reformulated and the new formula is a big step up. It's quickly become my top choice especially when taking pictures or videos because it looks almost flawless and very fresh on the skin. It's not best suited for my dry skin, but with some extra skin care, it's fine.
Texture: Formula is quite thick, I could almost call it paste-like, so it's not a foundation I like applying with fingers. I find it works best with a damp sponge, I use the Real Techniques one, which really brings this formula to the next level. Usually I don't like such thick foundations, but this one feels very lightweight on the skin and doesn't catch on dry patches. I have to use a lot of skin care before applying this, not because it would look dry without it, but because my skin starts to feel tight after a while. It's not a hydrating formula, at least as far as my skin is concerned (in the winter months).
Coverage: It has about medium coverage. Most of my freckles are covered and I don't bother with concealer when I wear this formula, but there is a hint of redness visible under my eyes. Finish is satin.
Shade: I got sent three shades and unlike most of the times, one of them actually fits me - and it's actually sold in local drugstores, which isn't common for Max Factor. Usually their shades available here are too dark for pale skin tones, even though they have large shade ranges abroad. Shade C40 Ivory is about a half a shade darker than Revlon's Colorstay 110 Ivory and has a neutral-warm undertone. The shade I got send years back was the lightest in the range, 10 Fair Porcelain, which was too light for me. I'm not sure it exists anymore, but if you're ultra pale, it may be a shade worth exploring. The other two shades I got are N55 Beige, a medium shade equivalent to Revlon's 200 shades with a golden, yellow undertone. C75 is the same depth, but more neutral.
Packaging: The bottle stayed the same as old one, they just changed the label. It's a glass bottle with a precise pump.
Price: This is about 16€ in DM. Apparently the price dropped because last year it was two euros more expensive.
While it's not best suited for dry skin, this foundation can look fantastic on the skin. It's particularly nice for occasions when taking pictures, it covers well and has a nice satin finish. Another plus is that it doesn't slip into pores, which is probably owed to the thick texture of the foundation that stays in its place.
Have a great day!
