NYX Professional Makeup Butter Gloss

These had their moment a while ago and I remember the raves about their moisturising formula. NYX's website states these are America's number 1 (butter) lip glosses. But in my opinion by now many formulas have passed this one by, most notably lip oils. 


This formula was hyped up as being lip balm like, but I think that even back then when they lauched at least Max Factor's glosses beat these. Formula is comfortable, but it's thinner than my favourite lip glosses and it disappears from the lips quickly. If I compare it to the new Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Lip Glaze, NYX formula doesn't feel half as balmy. NYX launched a few lip oils in the last years, maybe those are richer. 


I got shade Éclair, which is deceptive in the tube, as on the lips it's much cooler. It's a mix between a cool pink and lavender that just drains all colour from the face and makes teeth look even more yellow. There used to be a Mac shade called Viva Glam Gaga if I remember right and this is a similar shade. Just very hard to pull off and unflattering on me. 


I got this on Cult Beauty for about 5 €. They had only a small selection of shades.
