ESSENCE Stay All Day 14h Long-lasting Concealer

I didn't expect much from this, as I just grabbed something cheap quickly and barely checked even if the shade is ok. It's surprisingly nice - actually more than just nice. Given that it claims to me waterproof and to "stay all day" on the skin, I expected this to be a matte, high coverage formula like most popular concealers are, but this is a very suitable formula for my dry skin.

Texture, coverage and finish: It's got a good medium, buildable level of coverage, a natural finish that doesn't turn too matte on me in time and it blends easily on a larger area. Formula is lightweight and more on the thin side. I've been using this for a no makeup look because it's the quickest thing to use when I'm in a hurry and it blends into the skin nicely without obvious edges. It reminds me of the discontinued Essence Camouflage + Healthy Glow formula, which could also be used as a quick foundation substitute.

Staying power: this boasts with its 14 h staying power claim right in the name, but this is not a concealer like Catrice's Liquid Camouflage High Coverage concealer. Since it doesn't turn matte, it doesn't have the great staying power, but a bit of powder makes it last longer. It's not waterproof in my experience.

Shade: 10 Light Honey is the lightest in the selection and it's a passable match for my pale skin. Essence tends to always have good matches of concealers for very pale skin, but this formula is one of those that only has four shades and all are on the light side, except for shade 40.

Packaging: A classic tube with a doe foot applicator. Nothing fancy, but it works just fine.

Price and availability: I got it in Müller or DM, possibly one of the supermarkets, but anyway it was a little over 2 €, which makes it one of the cheapest concealers around here.
