These are fully opaque, light, liquid lipsticks that set matte. Revlon has other liquid lipstick, such as Satin Inks which are shiny at application and the Overtime formula also has a glossy sealer. Revlon promises a 24-hour wear, a patented lip-hugging applicator with a pointed tip and a formula with hyaluronic acid. Revlon says these are comfortable, non-tightening and suitable for sensitive lips.
Formula is very smooth and comfortable at application. I heard someone say it feels buttery and in a way, it does. I've so far haven't spotted it emphasizing dry patches on the lips, but my lips are rarely dry, so I won't claim it looks as smooth on everyone. The applicator is Revlon's new innovation as they say it's very precise due to the fine tip, but many applicators at other liquid lipsticks are quite precise and can be applied neatly.
Pigmentation is rich, but it can also be applied in a more sheer way if you wish. I've applied it as a stain a few times and it manages to look even that way as well. It takes about a minute to dry to a dry-to-the-touch matte finish and after that it can't be wiped off easily. The matte finish looks smooth on me and the lipstick is so lightweight, I don't notice it on all day. I don't find it drying and my lips don't get tight over the day, but that's often the case at my lips and liquid matte lipstick. There have been some occasions where I could feel it on the lips, thought that was only when I applied a second layer over a lipstick that had already set.
I started using these as blushes out of convenience and I realised they work great. They are not that hard to blend despite being a fast drying formula, a small amount creates a nice flush and it lasts on the cheeks pretty much all day, just like on the lips.
Staying power can be amazing, but it's not as resilient a formula as their Overtime liquid two-step lipsticks. It can last all day on me, especially the deeper shades, but it can also be partly wiped off my food, in particular the kind that has some oiliness to it. But it's still a type of lip colour I can put on and not worry about it much, especially since it's so lightweight and not drying. For them to be properly fully removed, you need an oily remover.
I wish I'd love the shade range as much as I that of Suede Ink, but like at Matte Lite Crayons, I'm not in truly in love with any of the shades. However I found a way to make these more appealing to me - I mix them. My favourite combination is Strut with Poster Child, which ends up similar to Suede Ink 001.
Every shade has a letter describing whether it has a warm, neutral and cool undertone. The selection in Slovenia has a warm, neutral and a cool nude, a classic magenta and two reds, a warm and a cool one. There are 16 shades in total abroad
Beauty Sleep (001)
001 Beauty Sleep is a Revlon's basic beige nude shade. It's similar to a number of their other shades, such as Satin Ink 01 Your Go To, Matte Lite Crayon 002 Clear the Air and Super Lustrous Luscious Matte 003 Pink Me up. The undertone of this shade is warm.
Poster Child 002
Poster Child is similar to Beauty Sleep, but a touch more pink and with a neutral undertone.
Strut 005
Strut is the lightest shade in the bunch. It's a pale cool pink. The closest Revlon shade I own is Superlustrous the Matte in Candy Addict.
Manifest (006)
Manifest is a neutral rose shade that my camera picks as a different shade every time. Undertone is described as neutral. Among Satin Ink shades there is a colour Your Majesty, which is similar enough.
Icon Era (007)
Icon Era is one of many magenta shades at Revlon. I applied it sheerer for the pictures, as I was in a hurry, but this shade can be more vibrant. Undertone is cool.
Show Off 009
Show off is the warm red in the selection we have here, a basic tomato red, like Fire & Ice.
011 Fire Off
Fire Off is a cool red.
These are packed in similar square tubes as Revlon's Satin Ink liquid lipsticks. The applicator has a curved and pointed shape that is good for a precise application.
These are sold in drugstores Muller and Tuš Drogerija here, in Muller in Croatia and for both countries online on Click2chic.
