MAX FACTOR Voluptuous False lash Effect Mascara 

I still can't believe at how much I actually like this. It's too things I'd normally dislike - regular formula and expensive for a drugstore mascara. But I really like this one and it's the first regular mascara I actually bought myself in five years. It's one of the three regular mascaras I've found so far that is able to lift my lashes at least half way, but it also gives me volume and it's even better at definition and length. I had to buy a new one, but finding discounts for this one was hard. By the way, the brush is huge.

ESSENCE Longlasting Lipliner

05 Lovely Frappuccino 

This is still one of my favourite shades for the classic 90's look because it's not too violet or grey, so it looks like a proper mauve-brown on me. The formula of these is lovely and I have several shades. As soon as I saw I only had a cm left, I had to repurchase it, though I had to go to a few shops to find it because it was out of stock.

BALANCE ME Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm

I love this cleanser, I really do and it's one of the rare ones that just works great with my skin. However, this is my third tube and every one was different. The texture of first was almost liquid, the second was a perfect creamy balm, but this last one was just too thick. It's a balm cleanser that melts under heat of the fingers and it also contains gentle scrub particles. It cleans the skin well, doesn't dry it out and doesn't make my vision foggy. I'm currently trying a couple of other ones to see if I find another I'll like, but is more consistent one, otherwise I'll repurchase it soon (the current one from Trilogy isn't working that well for me, while Soap & Glory's Ultimelt is very different from what I expected).

L'OCCITANE Pivoin Sublime Perfecting Cream

This is a cream I adored almost in every respect - the texture, the feeling on the skin and the winning scent. However, with longer use I realised it might not love me and I'm still gutted about that. As great as it felt on my skin at application, the fact is that my skin just never looked right with this pot of moisturiser. It was nothing major, just that I got an occasional blemish more frequently. The old Angelica version was brilliant for my skin, but this one just didn't work as good for me. I ended up liking Creatures de Monoi more. The packaging is stunningly gorgeous and I'll keep it for decoration. I still recommend you at least try it because everyone's skin is different.

Repurchase: No.

CREATEURS DE MONOI Face Cream 

I've used this up a while ago, but this is one of my favourite moisturisers I've had. It's nothing revolutionary or special in any way, it's just a simple, lovely cream that keeps my skin in check. I really like the smell of it too, though it's not monoi oil. Hated that the label got so ugly fast because I'm one of those crazy people who want their products to look perfect forever. 

Repurchase: Yes.

SUBRINA Shower Gel

This ended up being a big success in the shower and everyone loves it. It's a very simple shower gel, not nourishing at all, but it smells like Haribo Cola gummy sweets.

Repurchase: Already done.

AVON Bubble Bath

Juicy Mango

I haven't changed my mind about this. For all the raves I heard about Avon bubble baths and mountains of bubbles, it was disappointing. And I wasn't the only one who though that. I used a ton of it and I got a max of 10 cm of bubbles. The one from Eurospin is better. The scent is more on the boring side because it's a soapy mango instead of a juicy or candy mango, plus once it's in the bath, it's not really noticeable. 

Repurchase: No.

LABEL.M Honey & Oat Conditioner 

This bears an uncanny resemblance to Tigi's Oatmeal & Honey conditioner, which shouldn't be a surprise considering the brand was established by the same people as Tigi (and Tony & Guy). The ingredients of this are lovely and it has a proper Christmasy scent of spices like cinnamon and clove mixed with honey making it smell like gingerbread. I wasn't that blown away by it when I first used it, but I've since changed my mind because it makes my hair feeling smooth and even a bit soft, an accomplishment for any conditioner when it comes to my thick, coarse hair. It's pretty light and I notice zero weighing down of the hair, so it could also be nice for hair that isn't as annoying as mine, but if your hair gets greasy fast, I wouldn't risk it. The scent really is something you'd like to smell only in colder months. 

Repurchase: I would.

VO5 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray

This was the first texturizing spray I liked, though I now switched to Charles Worthington. It's like you'd mix a dry shampoo and salt spray plus added a little bit of hairspray, but it leaves the hair less crispy than CW, which means it also has less hold. It creates that messy, straight-out-of-bed texture, which makes the curls more lived in and it of course also gives volume, plus is mattifies the hair.  

Repurchase: Yes.

VICTORIA'S SECRET Love Spell Body Spray

For a long time this was my favourite summer scent, as it smells so fruity and refreshing (like one of my favourite old fizzy drinks Bibita). I've had this for way too long (250 ml bottles are almost impossible for me to use up) and it started getting that very plasticky note, so I got used to it fast. It doesn't last long on the skin, but some of their other versions like Coconut Passion have quite a staying power. I'll get a different scent next time, maybe Passion Kiss, Aqua Kiss or Sheer Love. Love that they have a discount so often in Müller now.

Repurchase: Maybe, but first I'll buy some other scent.

L'OREAL Elvive Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Conditioner 

Nothing special for a conditioner. It's thick, but wasn't enough for my hair, however, I think most people would like it.  As far as frizz control goes, it works halfway. With a hair dryer the hair is noticeable sleeker, but the frizz pops back up fast. I believe Extraordinary Oil conditioner serves as a replacement for this, I have both and to me they are pretty similar.

Repurchase: No.

PURELOGY Hydrate Condition 

I wasn't that impressed with this from the start. I meant it's a nice conditioner, it's just not excellent the way I expected based on all the praises I heard. But it actually ended up being a conditioner that has better long-term results than immediate ones. With frequent use my hair was in so much better condition than when use the cheap stuff. It was more hydrated and nourished, so I ended up liking it. It's a bit of a strange one because it smells strongly of mint and it actually tingles on the skin even when you wash the hands after application.

Repurchase: Yes or maybe.

AUSSIE 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor 

I still love this and it's one of the best drugstore conditioners plus it smells yummy like bubble gum. It's expensive here, so I'll only repurchase it when it has a decent discount.

 MAYBELLINE Instant Anti-Age Effect The Eraser Eye

It's no secret that I love this concealer, I have, after all, been raving about it for years now. I particularly like this as an under-eye concealer, because due to the light texture, it looks so natural on the skin. The coverage is about medium, so it won't cover super dark circles, but I find it works for me and my under-eye redness, It even manages to cover some small blemishes and it doesn't look like a caked-up patch on the spot. The unique sponge applicator, as unhygienic as it might look, is actually brilliant as I find that very little additional blending is needed after application. I use the shade called Fair, which pink-toned and probably closest to NW 15 for a reference.

MAX FACTOR Face Finity All Day Primer

I had very little faith in primers before discovering this. Most made my skin so terribly flaky, but this leaves a perfect, matte smooth surface ready for an application of foundation. It's not so super siliconey that it might feel greasy, instead it's instantly dry to the touch and it feels like nothing on the skin, though I'd still recommend thin layers, since like that you get most benefits of any primer. This really prolongs the staying power of makeup, so it's perfect to use under all those new-age dewy foundations that just disappear in the middle of the day. I also love using this as an eye primer because it intensifies the colour of the eyeshadows and makes them last a lot longer.

BOURJOIS Poudre de Riz Java

This converted me into a powder person again. For years I dared no apply powder as it would just make my foundation look cakey and noticeable. But this kind of just blurs the skin a tiny bit, so it makes the foundation look better and less obvious, even a bit radiant, but it still keeps oil at bay (though my skin isn't particularly oily, just on my T-zone a bit). There are some pretty intimidating glitter particles in it, but if you keep your application very moderate, it's completely transparent.

BOURJOIS Cream Blush

(01 Nude Velvet and 03 Rose Tender)

I'm a big fan of cream blushes as I find them so easy to apply with fingers when in a hurry as well as I use them as a base under a powder blush to prolong its staying power. Bourjois are my absolute favourite due to a velvet texture, so they are not as "greasy feeling" as others, rather they are dry to the touch once applied and therefore when I apply a powder blush on top, it doesn't stick to the wet patches. The finish of these is a lovely matte, so they look a lot more natural on the skin than most. Nude Velvet is my absolute favourite cream blush, though admittedly it looks very boring in the pan, it gives an adorable peachy flush to the skin.

L'OREAL Color Riche L'Ombre Pure

You don't see a matte eyeshadow in the drugstore often, especially one that is actually good. L'Oreal's isn't just good, it's brilliant. Somehow they managed to make a pigmented, soft matte shade that doesn't have some strange fall-out, doesn't look patchy on the skin and blends like a dream. I'm bloody impressed. The colour is a complete winner as well, Breaking Nude is a beautiful taupe shade that is totally up my alley. It's expensive for drugstore, but totally worth it.

L'OREAL Super Liner Perfect Slim and KARDASHIAN BEAUTY Deeply Felt Precision Tip Eyeliner

Give an award to the inventor of these felt tip eyeliners. L'Oreal's and (surprisingly) Kardashian Beauty's are my two absolute favourite. The sharp nib allows to draw super thin and precise lines including the flicks. If you're a beginner when it comes to liners or you're just having a hard time making liner work for you due to your eye shape (like me), give these a go. They make all the difference to the eye makeup because they make the eyes look more awake, defined and noticeable.

RIMMEL London Kate Matte Lipstick

It's be a small crime not to mention this beauty in an October post. Burgundies are all the rage every autumn and this is such a classic, yet inexpensive shade. On me it looks more purple than on most, but it's a deep red-purple shade, which looks killer with a nice neutral eye and subtle blush. The formula is matte, which is what I personally prefer when it comes to darker lip colour, but it's not so matte that it would be terribly drying. I would recommend you get a lip liner for this shade.

L'OREAL L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick

Such an amazing lip gloss. The pigmentation is lovely, it feels very comfortably creamy on the lips and much to my delight it smells like peaches (which is only my favourite scent of products ever). I have a beautiful warm pink shade called Rose Symphony that I really love as I think it makes my eyes appear more blue. Luckily these finally reached our drugstores, though the price tag is not so easy to swallow - still it's total worth it.

GOT2B Ől-la-la Styling Öl-Spray 

(Oil-licious Triple Oil Dry Oil Mist)

Since I have dry hair, I love using hair oils and Öl-la-la is one of the most innovative as well as fastest to apply. It's a light silicon based product with argan oil in a spray form that gives tons of shine, helps fight frizz and doesn't weight down the hair. Often when I do a hairstyle, especially curls, I prefer to not touch it much as I find that curls can drop too much that way, so I spray some of this instead of using a liquid oil like Orofluido or Elixir Ultime. Basically this spray is healthy looking hair in a can and I'd even recommend it to those, who are afraid of silicone-oils because they find them too heavy since if used in moderation, this is super light.

VO5 Give me Texture Dry Texturising Spray

Texturising spray were more or less designed to inject volume and texture to thin, limp hair, so considering my coarse, thick type of hair, you'd think it'd be the last styling product I'd ever like. However, I really like it just after curling the hair as it just makes the curls look a bit better. It's like a dry shampoo on steroids, meaning it gives a lot of grip and a bit of hold, so it's like a dry shampoo-light hairspray hybrid or a dry version of a salt spray (it does have sea salt in it).

I am always curious about affordable drugstore brands available in other countries and when Boots finally started shipping to Slovenia, I placed this texturising spray in my virtual shopping basket simply to satisfy my curiosity. My previous experience with a texturising product, which was L'Oreal's #TXT version left a bad taste in my mouth, but VO5's is a completely different story. This is actually good! It contains sea salt and promises to create an effortless, undone look as well as give tousled effect to the waves.

Texture: It is exactly as I imagined texturising sprays to be - a dry shampoo on steroids. It's something like a dry shampoo/light-hold hairspray hybrid that gives that powdery texture but with some hold. There is absolutely no stickiness as at L'Oreal's or wetness and it definitely doesn't feel just like a can of lovely fragranced air as got2b Volumania styling powder does (which I still kind of like for some unknown reason). 

Effect: This deposits a light layer of fine powder on the hair which you can feel when you touch it, but it's not white, though you can see it on the strands of hair if you look closely enough. This layer of powder gives a very matte look, which I'm not terribly happy about, since I think the darker your hair is the shinier it should look, but I just spray a bit of got2b Öl-la-la over it and it's fine (although all of those whose hair gets shiny at the roots because it greasy will love the matte effect). This definitely gives texture as well as a tiny bit of hold. I really like using it just after I washed my hair and curled it. Spraying it on freshly curled hair, it just makes it look better by giving some volume and making the curls not so perfect, therefore creating a messy, bed head look. I use a hairspray after as suggested for better hold. But, I'm not sure about it as a re-styler on the following days. I just think that Batiste for example, does a better job because it absorbs oils better and gives more volume, though I think that VO5 doesn't perform all that well on me due to the long length and heaviness of my hair. Unlike as at L'Oreal's, spraying a lot of it doesn't make the hair feel unbearably dirty, but it can make it feel dry.

Scent: The scent is nothing to write home about. It's a mix between a stronger typical hairspray note with a more subtle touch of candy strawberries, but it doesn't last long.

Price and availability: £3.79 (4.7 €) in Boots.

I like it. It does what is says on the tin, giving the hair that tousled look and it's not too expensive. The only thing that bothers me is that my can is already feeling more than a half empty and I haven't even had it that long. If you have a chance to try it, give it a go and I think it'll work particularly well on those with shorter-medium length hair that lacks volume and texture.

It took me way too long to buy this considering it's such an essential tool. It's a fantastic brush - a really fluffy tapered brush that is not too big, which I'll use for pigmented blushes, bronzer and powder.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm 210 Unapologetic

Unapologetic is one of the many shades that are not sold in Slovenia and the only shade I wanted from the matte range (we have five shades. Disappointing). It's a super bright pink with coral undertones. I just got it, so I haven't worn it yet, but there will be a full review.

Bourjois Java Rice Loose powder 

I got this based on a recommendation from Sara (Passing Fancy). I was looking for it in our drugstores, but I guess it was sold here only for a limited time. I heard it's a lovely, illuminating setting powder that is a bit similar to the Hourglass Ambient powder. There will be a full review once I thoroughly test it out.

Panasonic EH2351AC Heated Eyelash Curling Wand

I finally got it. It actually didn't take that long to arrive from Korea, only two weeks. First impressions are all right - it's not that hot that it would burn the eyelids and as I read from all the reviews, it really only works after the lashes have already been curled and mascara was applied, so it only makes a slightly better curl and makes it last longer. If you want I can do a more in-depth review.

Shiseido The Makeup Eyelash Curler

I wanted to try a high-end lash curler to see how it compares to my Tana's (which I can't find in Müller any more, so I guess they no longer sell it). This one is almost as popular as Shu Uemura. I need some more time to really test it, but so far I can say it's good, I'm just no convinced it's that much better than Tana's which is/was half the price. However, both are miles better than Manhattan's or other cheaper versions and are best I've tried. I'll do a comparison one day.

Garnier Miracle Cream

This was on my wishlist since British Beauty Blogger raved about it and later I heard that this is a dupe for Origins Vitazing. It's a white face cream that releases a sheer tint when rubbed into the skin. I've only tried it on the hand and it starts of looking scarily almost orange, but sheers out and gives a natural looking touch of colour/tan. It also has SPF 20. There will be a review once I test it out.

SunDance Getöntes Sonnenfluid SPF 30 
Tinted sun protecting fluid

After the last year's mattifying version, which I really like, Sun Dance made a tinted version. The shade of it is actually quite light and the tint is sheer, so the shade doesn't matter much, but it does mean there is not fear of leaving a white cast. I also liked it because this version is alcohol free and it felt light when I tried it on the hand. Haven't tried in on the face yet, but there will be a review one day.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor 

I ran out of 3 Minute Miracle and I immediately repurchased it. I love this, probably more than the Dove's Oil Care one that I always rave about. You know I'm really fussy about conditioners because my hair needs more than average person's do and this one is a drugstore gem. It gives great results on my super dry hair and it smells amazing like bubble gum.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Wild

My massive 400 ml can of Tropical version is running out and I wanted to try a different scent of Batiste since there are so many. I picked up Wild because I heard it has a nice oriental scent. I'd describe the scent as chocolate-vanilla-musk-woody one in a perfume version, not the gourmand kind. Lovely! The closest scent I can think of is Black Star by Avril Lavigne once it develops if I remember that scent correctly.

Garnier Fructis Oil Repair 3 Shampoo

Damn, this is good! I didn't expect anything much since it's a drugstore shampoo, but Garnier meant business with this one. It looks like an average Fructis shampoo that has that lovely, typical Fructis apple scent, however, the formula is fabulous. It transforms into a dense, creamy rich foam and leaves the hair nourished, while still cleansing very well. After rinsing it off there is no dryness or that awful über squeaky clean feeling that I hate, however, it's only small fault is that the hair is left a bit tangly. If you have dry hair and you want something on a budget, this is a great shampoo to try.

Since I love the 3 Minute Miracle, I decided to try one of Aussie's shampoos as well. I'll do a separate review once I've had enough time using it. It smells divine, just like 3 Minute Miracle, so that yummy bubble gum scent.

Balea Rasiergel Summer Garden 

Mango scent

This is my favourite version of Balea's shaving gel ever. It's smells like candy in mango flavour. Yummy! And it's teal, one of my favourite colours. The quality is again excellent. I should stock up on this version because it's LE. Balea make it permanent please!

Tesore d' Orientare Orchidea deodorant

I randomly grabbed this when I needed a new deodorant. It smells like soap - very clean and a bit floral (I just read on Fragrantica it's supposed to smell like J.Lo Miami Glow. Really?!). I'm not loving the scent, but it's not annoying either (yet). It performs like your average spray deodorant, so it's more about preventing/covering body odour than stopping the sweat.

This is new on the market, but I already heard a few raves about it. I've only used it once and I already love it, but I'll report back when I use it a few more times. It smells the same as the Body Ultimate Beauty Oil.

Riffi Body Brush

Another blogger inspired purchase, this time by Jana from Small Bits of Loveliness. I've been planning on buying this for ages, but always forgot. I bought the smallest one I could find to fit into my hand and I really like this one. The bristles are just prefect - soft, but not too soft. This dry body brushing business feels really nice and I've been doing it before almost all my showers (it only takes a few minutes). It's kind of addictive. It exfoliates the skin, assists in improving vascular blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, but you should google it you want to read more about it because that is all I know.

Ulala! Detangler Hair Brush

I've had my Tangle Teezer for about 7 years and it still serves me well, but it is falling apart. I wanted something with a handle because I have small hands and TT is a bit big to hold, but instead of buying something online I just took one in DM. This is just a generic version that I've seen in several places, only someone put their name on it (Beauty Bay has pretty much the same version). The bristles aren't quite as soft as at TT, but that doesn't really matter on my thick hair, though it might on fine hair (I'd get a TT in that case. Macadamia's version is nice as well I hear).

I've been looking for these for a while and they finally arrived in our neck of the woods. These are padded insoles that you can put in any shoes to make them more comfortable and have a sticker on the bottom so they won't slide out. I'm a size 36/3(UK)/5(US) and these fit perfectly in all my shoes. They feel nice and soft, however, they make the shoe 1/2 or 1 size smaller, so these are nice if you have shoes that run just a bit big, but if they fit well, it can get a bit pinchy. There is a violet or pink version that is bigger (fits 39-41).
