Favourite Liquid Lipsticks

I have a similar post on the blog already, though it's not about favourites, it's about my matte liquid lipstick collection from a few years ago. Some formulas got their place in this post too, but I don't use those that are too old anymore, regardless they are worth mentioning since they are great ones. Also I originally put Lancôme Matte Shaker liquid lipstick in this post, but I later discovered it's discontinued. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 07 Nude-ist is very similar to the shade of the shaker (Vintage beige), which I recently repurchased, but formula-wise Lancome was a bit better.

These are aside from Revlon's Overtime the most long lasting lip colours in my collection. On most days they can look like freshly applied after 12 hours, provided you don't eat a lot of greasy food. This also means they need a waterproof remover to get it off completely and they may not feel comfortable to a lot of people. The formula is thick, so even application isn't as easy as with others, though it depends on the shade and these are super sticky for the first half and hour. They almost glue your lips together when you press them, but once the set, they really set like a cement of the lips and don't budge unless you decide to attack them with a copious amount of oil. These feel most like a layer on the lips, but I can't tell you whether they are drying, I can only say that others feel more comfortable. Once they dry on the lips they feel fine and as I said if you need something truly long-lasting, these are the best fully opaque choice I know. I have two shades, the rosy-mauve Lover and the gorgeous cool red Pioneer, both were a part of the original line up which expanded considerably since.

These are still my favourite matte liquid lipsticks. At most lip creams the pigmentation is excellent, so that's nothing special, but these apply evenly, dry to a nice matte finish that to me isn't at all dry and they last well on the lips. They have a minty scent and even tingle for a minute, but don't expect any plumping effect. Mine are now quite old (except Sincere), so I rarely wear them, but for years these were my most worn lipsticks. I have four shades: Sincere, a muted pink/rosy-brown combination and one of my favourites shade, Committed, another big favourite, is a muted peachy-pink nude, Charming is a medium rosy-brown shade and Adoring is a deep burgundy.

These are some of the most comfortable lip products I know. They are named wrong because the formula is not matte, instead it has a creamy, almost glossy finish, however with time (I mean hours) as it becomes a sort of a stain, it is matte. They are fully opaque liquid lipsticks with a formula that's not nice on the lips, I've been using these instead of a lip balm for years, though they I replaced them with the newest Vinyl version in the recent year. Embrace is a nude peachy shade with some pink and Devotion is a light-medium warm pink.

This glossy formula is equally fantastic as the original matte. They are very similar, both are fully opaque in one coat and very comfortable, like a cushion on the lips. This one is glossy at application, but it as it's fading it's more creamy. Staying power of this new Vinyl version is surprisingly great for a glossy product, but the formula is thicker than a regular gloss. Birthday Suit is light-medium pinky mauve shade and Chery on Top a warm red.

This is the most long-lasting product here. It survives drinking, eating, touching lips a lot and doesn't transfer. It doesn't feel dry to me and I think I can say that it's overall more comfortable than matte liquid lipsticks in general. It also doesn't leave my lips all crusty and patchy at the end of the day, instead they still look smooth. I had Rimmel's Provocalips, which lasts outstandingly as well, but that one was already too hard to remove and this is in my opinion slightly better version of such a product especially (but both are great if you're looking for something that just lasts). It's in two parts: the colour which is sticky from the start, so you need to wait for it to dry and then there's this glossy coat that seals the colour. It stays shiny for a while, but after hours it's a natural matte type of finish, almost like the lips are naturally stained. I have 380 Always Sienna which is a marsala reddish brown and Unlimited Mulberry which is a natural mauve pink.

Despite the "tint" in the name, these can be worn fully opaque with two coats and are super comfortable on the lips. Together with Vinyl these are the best opaque formulas I've tried for dry lips. It's less thick than Vinyl lip polish and feels more like a creamy-oily texture than a creamy gloss and in time they leave an even stain, but you can also apply them as a stain if you wish and Naughty Mauve can look especially natural. The cushion applicator reminds me of Lancome's Shakers and it's surprisingly not as clumsy as I thought it will be, so there's no mess around the lips. So far I'm still looking for a shade that I would really love, but I have three of these: Pretty Kiss, which is a light beige shade that on me is already kind of warm beige-brown and it has a metallic finish, Naughty Mauve, which fully opaque looks medium brownish-rose and Wine Trip, a deep, vampy reddish-brown shade.

Review: 500 Fire Starter
As far as matte liquid lipsticks go, this is one of my favourites out of the ones that are sold in our drugstores. Maybelline's last forever on the lips, but these are more comfortable and still perfectly matte, pigmented and last enough to get you through most of the day. I have only one shade, Fire Starter, which is a classic warm red.

Next to Revlon this is the other favourite formula I can get in our drugstores, but I kinda like Rimmel's just a bit more, while this one has better shades. It's fully opaque, smooth, applies nicely with no patchiness, dries completely matte in a minute and it's completely transfer proof. I don't find it drying on my lips, but as I mentioned many times before, nothing is drying on me, so I'm a bad example. I got the second shade, 02, which is one of the lightest. It's a light-medium pink that's very easy to wear.

These are one of the more comfortable matte formulas out there and while I think TheBalm's are better, these are another ones with a perfect matte finish and an excellent pigmentation. Staying power is the only thing isn't quite as good as at some others, but here you get comfort instead of colour that's practically cemented on your lips, so these are also easy to remove. 13 Marvelous Mauve, a medium pinky-mauve, is one of the most popular shades and Strawberry Kissed is a similar warm pinky red.

Take objave so super. Zelo priročne. Jaz k tebi rada pogledam za nasvete za mat šminke, ker potem vem kaj drugim priporočat, ko nimajo tako suhih ustnic kot jaz :).
OdgovoriIzbrišiImam nekaj Maybelline odtenkov in so res dobro obstojne. Sicer mene tudi moti ta heavy občutek, ampak jaz jih namažem s čopičem, da malo razredčim to težkost pa je potem veliko obljši občutek na ustnicah. Barvo pa tudi ne žrtvujem z nude odtenki, ker je še vedno polno prekrivna.
Se popolnoma strinjam z Revlon Matte in Vinyl formulami, res so odlične. Na sploj sem se odločila, da Revlon izdelkom za ustnice zaupam. Še noben me ni razočaral do zdaj.
Premišljujem katere bi še jaz dodala iz mojega nabora...Colourpop? Vem, da imaš ti tudi neke. Satin Lip jaz zdaj ogromno uporabljam za rdečila za lica. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream mi je še vedno ena najboljših...ampak bolj zaradi toliko nude odtnekov :D. Od Paese so mi tudi všeč, dobra formula, kar udobna. Najbolj bi pa rada preizkusila še kakšen odtenek NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment, ker je noro pigmentirana in ena najbolj udobnih za pravo mat tekočo šminko.
Samo, da je uporabna objava :) Sem jo imela pripravljeno že pol leta, pa ni nikoli prišla na vrsto za dokončat. Maybelline so lahko res tečno težke, sicer jih jaz sčasoma ne čutim. Mi je pa ljubša Revlonova Overtime za takrat to rabim nekaj res obstojnega, ker je bolj prijetna na ustnicah. Revlon je res top znamka kar se tiče ličil za ustnice. Pa toliko let jih nisem niti pogledala ker mi je original Super Lustrous brezvezna formula, ampak ostalo je pa res super.
IzbrišiColourpop si niso zaslužile prostora tukaj ker so se hitro ločili pigmenti, sploh pri Littlestitious je vidno ločen živo roza pigment, a v originalu je odtenek nude. Jih imam še v predalu, ampak ne nosim več. NYX Soft Matte je res kul, ampak premalo obstojna proti drugim formulam in meni se je Cannes hitro pokvaril in postal nek oljni stain. Lep, ampak polne prekrivnosti pa nisem več dobila. Odtenki so tudi nekonsistentni, npr. Cannes in Instanbul sta kul, Tokyo pa neuporaben.
Narsove si pa nikol nikoli resno pogledala. Ne vem če bi mi bil kakšen odtenek res všeč.

IzbrišiI find their current matte liquid lipstick quite dry, but I can wear it fine. Staying power is poor compared to other such products.
